White Shanty, a beautiful venue for both large and small events, is one of the most popular wedding venue rentals for good reason! As a photographer, I’m always looking for unique backdrops and spaces all within the same location so that my photos have a lot of variety, and White Shanty delivers on that front with flying colors.
At White Shanty, couples rent out the entire space for their event, but they let you choose between half-day morning rentals, half-day evening rentals, or full-day rentals, accommodating your budget and schedule to a T, which is always appreciated by wedding planners and couples alike. There are so many things to finalize for your big day, it’s nice knowing the venue can be locked in early and catered to your needs. Just remember that your reservation window includes time for set-up and take-down, so plan accordingly.
White Shanty consists of a large open floor space with concrete floors and lots of windows and also has a bride’s suite and groom’s room, which double as studios and can be used for any related purpose. I like how the groom and bride areas are separated so you don’t have to see each other before that special moment of walking down the aisle.
Capacity for the entire space is 250 seated guests, but around 500 guests if you’re utilizing both indoor and outdoor spaces and have a good flow!
Your investment includes tables and seating, as well as additional inclusions (which I’ll cover later in this post!). A $500 retainer is required as a deposit, and then the rest of the payment is due 90 days before your event.
Half-day evening rentals are priced at:
Monday – Wednesday $1,700
Thursday $2,000
Friday $2,500
Half-day morning rentals are priced at:
Monday – Wednesday $850
Thursday $1025
Friday $1,250
All-day event rentals are priced at:
Monday – Wednesday $2,200
Thursday $2,500
Friday – Saturday $3,000
Additional hours are billed at $100/hr.
Your rental investment includes tables and seating for up to 110 guests, including decor tables for your cake or signing in. Learn more about the beautifully handcrafted table options on White Shanty’s website. Don’t forget to scroll below to see some of my own work in the space if you’re looking for an image to reference as you picture your wedding here!
The rental also includes:
Additionally, many people don’t realize that White Shanty has an extensive collection of additional decor pieces to use when setting up for your wedding! You are able to take a look prior to your event and browse to see what fits your style, but they’re also totally cool with you “shopping” around their storage area while you’re getting set up the day-of ” for what you want. They have a staff person on site for every event who will keep track of what you use and send you a bill after the fact. I love how flexible this team is in making sure your venue dreams come to fruition.
Lastly, I didn’t want to wrap this up without talking about the connections and resources White Shanty offers. They have preferred vendors, listed on their website, as well as tools to create your own wedding website, which is super helpful to have all that information in one spot! While these are their preferred vendors, you’re more than welcome to source your own.
I think my absolute top recommendation for White Shanty is that it can be styled to suit any taste. Boho, western, timeless, or modern wedding styles will all find a home here, and your photos will turn out lovely.

As someone who wears a lot of hats (wife, momma, nurse, and photographer). I know that those once in a lifetime moments can truly fly by. My mission is to capture those beautiful moments so that you can come back to them years down the road and relive them! The best way to do that if to find out who YOU are and what type of moments YOU treasure the most.
