I am a big believer that your family photos deserve a life outside the screen of your phone. Your family photos are your ART! Don’t wait to print them out and display them proudly in your home. Wouldn’t it be a bummer to go through all the work of planning and carrying out your pictures just to hide them in a downloads folder? I think so!

Whether your most recent family photos were taken last month or several years ago, it’s never too late to order prints of your favorite images. In this blog post, I want to talk you through the process of selecting specific photos for print as well as the actual ordering process. By the end, I don’t want you to walk away with any excuses!

After our scheduled photo session, you will receive a link to a gallery with lots of professionally edited, ready-to-go images of your sweet family. I try to send my clients as many photos as possible, which is fun to look at but sometimes difficult to narrow down for printing. I totally get that and am here to help! When you’re choosing photos that you want printed, follow these few tips:

1. Pick photos that you love and feel confident about. Especially if you’re displaying them in your home, you want images that will make you happy every time you see them. Your kids will just be happy to see themselves showcased!

2. Make sure each member of your family is featured equally. The last thing you want as a parent is to accidentally print a few fewer photos of one of your kids, so take caution. When you have a final list of images, double-check that everyone is equally represented.

3. Choose a variety of poses. In our session, we will take photos in all kinds of situations, from ones of your family smiling into the camera, to laughing at one another, to hugging, dancing, or walking together. Try to select images with all kinds of poses to add interest to your photo display.

4. Add a few extra to give as gifts. Trust me when I say that grandparents love to receive updated photos of their kids and grandkids. You could even make it a fun gift-giving experience with your kids and pick out a fun frame together for the photos.

Once you have narrowed down what photos you want printed, it’s time to send them off! I try to make the whole process as easy as possible, so you can actually order directly from the gallery I send you. To top it all off, everything can be done from your phone. Isn’t that convenient?

When I send your photo gallery over to you, I also send a link that takes you to an app where you can view each image and select the ones you want for printing. You will have access to the images for as long as you need. You may also want to try the new Augmented Reality feature on their website, which allows you to see what your photos will look like in your home! You can find it here.

Through your gallery, you can order prints and canvases. The quality is some of the best I have seen, really doing justice to your beautiful family images. I am also happy to create a family album full of your favorite images. You can make changes to the layout and print it whenever works best for you because I have it stored for ten years.

At the end of the day, you will never regret having physical copies of your family pictures. Not only are they perfect Christmas and birthday gifts, but family photos are stunning displays in your home. I can’t wait for you to have prints of these memories!
