Elyse and Todd were married last year, and it was a beautiful celebration of two undoubtedly incredible people. Happy Anniversary, you two!

Both are currently going to school to become Nurse Practitioners, and being a nurse myself, it was so fun to shoot a wedding for a fellow nurse. Trust me when I say that there are just certain things that nurses can talk about with each other that absolutely would not come up in normal day to day conversations with someone who is not in the medical field. But the truly bizarre thing is that we don’t realize how odd it is until we see the shocked (and maybe disgusted) reactions of the people we are talking with. Nursing is definitely not for everyone, but these two are the best nurses and I cannot wait to see what amazing things will come this year for them as they become Nurse Practitioners.

It was such an honor to capture their wedding day and get to know their families. There were definitely parts of the toasts that I was cry-laughing. I didn’t know I could laugh so hard, but as it turns out, when the father of both the Bride AND Groom are hilarious, I pretty much had a smile plastered on my face the whole time. They had the sweetest families and I loved meeting all of their friends. Seeing all of the people who came from near and far to support them was unreal!
